Orchids

Orchids are one of the most popular flowers in the world. They come in a wide variety of colors, shapes and sizes, and their long-lasting blooms make them a popular choice for cut flowers. There are more than 25,000 species of orchids, and they are found on every continent except Antarctica.

Orchids are epiphytes, meaning they grow on other plants or objects. They typically have aerial roots that absorb moisture and nutrients from the air. Most orchids are native to tropical climates, but some species can be found in temperate zones.

Orchids bloom in a wide range of colors, including white, pink, purple, red and yellow. The flowers can be single or double blooms, and they are often fragrant.

Orchids are a popular gift for Mother’s Day, anniversaries and birthdays. They are also a popular choice for weddings and other special occasions.

Oleander

The oleander is a tough evergreen shrub that’s tolerant of sandy soils, salt spray, and extended droughts. Native to the Mediterranean, it’s been long cultivated in warmer climates and has naturalized in many areas outside its native range. Oleanders are now considered an invasive species in some parts of the United States.

Orange Blossom

The orange blossom is the state flower of Florida, USA. It is also called Citrus Blossom and White Muguet. This flower belongs to the family of Rutaceae and genus of Citrus. The orange blossom looks very similar to gardenia and jasmine. They have oval or lanceolate green leaves with white, funnel-shaped flowers that are about 2.5 cm in diameter. The orange blossom symbolizes chastity, innocence, and eternal love.

Osmanthus

Osmanthus, with its genus name Osmanthus, is a fragrant flower that blossoms in late September through early October. Because of its sweet apricot-like fragrance, it is also known as sweet olive or sweet osmanthus. It is native to East Asia, most notably China and Japan, and can be found in various parts of the United States.
